Where to ride

Rides from town

  • Peaks Trail: about 8 miles of singletrack between Breck and Frisco. The Breck end is off Ski Hill Rd near Peak 7. Ride it one way and take the free Summit Stage back.
  • Boreas Pass Road: about 10 miles from town to the 11,481 foot summit on an old railroad grade at an easy 3 percent. Paved at the start, then graded dirt. Open to cars May to October, so ride single file.
  • Blue River Recpath: 7.3 paved miles from downtown Breck to Frisco. Good for cruisers and kids.
  • Lift-served trails: Breck runs lift-served riding on Peaks 7, 8 and 9 in summer with a bike haul ticket. Intermediate trails and up. It is not a downhill bike park; Keystone is the Summit County resort with one of those.

Events

The Firecracker 50 starts at Carter Park on the Fourth of July and leads off the Main Street parade.
