    When does Breckenridge open for 2026-27?

    Breckenridge opens November 6, 2026, according to Vail Resorts. Closing day has not been announced yet.

    How high is Breckenridge?

    Town sits around 9,600 feet, and the top of the ski resort is 12,998 feet on Peak 8.

    Which pass do I need for Summit County?

    Breckenridge and Keystone are on the Epic Pass. Arapahoe Basin and Copper Mountain are on the Ikon Pass. Loveland sells its own pass.

    Where do I check avalanche conditions near Breckenridge?

    The Colorado Avalanche Information Center at avalanche.state.co.us. Breck-area backcountry is in the Vail and Summit County zone.

    Is there free transportation in Breckenridge?

    Yes. The BreckConnect Gondola, the Breck Free Ride bus and the countywide Summit Stage bus are all free.

    Where does the live conditions data come from?

    Snow depth comes from the Hoosier Pass SNOTEL station run by the USDA, and forecasts and alerts come from the National Weather Service. For lifts and grooming, check the Breck snow report.
